Investing in Community Learning: Supporting Sterling House Community Center

The Vicki Soto Memorial Fund is honored to announce a donation to the Sterling House

Community Center, an organization that has been a cornerstone of learning, connection, and support for families in Stratford for generations.

This donation reflects our deep commitment to literacy and community growth—values that meant everything to Vicki. As an educator, Vicki believed learning doesn’t begin and end in the classroom. It happens in every place where children feel welcomed, supported, and inspired. Sterling House embodies that belief every day.

From early childhood programs to after-school enrichment, summer camps, and family resources, Sterling House provides opportunities for children to learn, explore, and succeed. Many young learners take their first steps toward reading, creativity, and confidence through the programs offered within its walls. By offering safe, inclusive, and engaging spaces to grow, Sterling House helps shape curious minds and strong community roots.

Our gift will help enhance the literacy-based experiences available to children who participate in Sterling House programs. Whether it helps supply books, improve educational resources, or expand creative learning opportunities, this donation ensures that more children will be able to access tools that foster a lifelong love of reading. That legacy mirrors Vicki’s own passion for early literacy and student empowerment.

Thank you, Sterling House Community Center, for being a beacon of education, support, and joyful learning in Stratford. Together, we are living out Vicki’s mission to uplift children, nurture curiosity, and celebrate the power of learning.

With this partnership, we continue Vicki’s legacy of Living, Laughing, and Loving—one young reader at a time.
