On June 15, 2013 The Sandy Ground: Where Angels Play Foundation began construction on Vicki’s beautiful playground, along with family, friends and many volunteers. The Sandy Ground, which originally formed in the wake of Hurricane Sandy, set out to build 26 playgrounds to honor the victims, with Vicki’s being the fifth one built. Located at Pender’s Field at Longbrook Park in Stratford, Vicki’s playground is a wonderful tribute to all that she loved. It is adorned with flamingos, Christmas trees and is a beautiful and friendly place where children and adults are reminded of Vicki’s words to Live, Laugh and Love.
